European Union Military Academies Commandants’ Seminar (EUMACS 2022)

The Commander of the Hellenic Air Force Academy, Major General Konstantinos Karamesinis, participated in the European Union Military Academies Commandants’ Seminar (EUMACS) 2022. The Seminar was conducted in Brno, by the Checz University of Defence (12 to 14 October 2022), under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).

The primary purpose of the Seminar was to improve international cooperation among Higher Education Military Institutions.

Furthermore, the event covered presentations, debates, and the latest information concerning the activities of the European Initiative for the Exchange of Young Military Officers (Military Erasmus), such as the Common Modules, the International Semesters, and the creation of a common understanding on the training of future EU Officers. Additionally, there was a presentation on the structure and mission of the European Security and Defense College (ESDC), the responsible organization of the European External Action Service (EEAS), concerning the training on Common Security and Defense Policy.

The participants were allowed to exchange views on a wide range of issues, such as the educational activities of their Institutions, their coordination and cooperation at the EU level, and in particular, the Military Erasmus Initiative and the development of synergies on exchanging training methods and practices through the staff and students’ motilities.
