From March 26 to March 30, 2025, the educational trip of the 4th-year cadets took place in Vienna, Austria. The cadets had the opportunity to participate in a series of educational activities that enhanced their knowledge and understanding of the culture, history, and institutions of Austria. The delegation was accompanied by the Commander, Major General (I) MatthaiosKanoupakis, the Director of Military Education, Colonel (I) AntoniosMakris, the Dean, Professor Roussos Papagiannakis, and Officers – personnel of the academy.
On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, the cadets’ delegation visited the Embassy of Greece in Vienna, where they were welcomed by Ambassador Mr. Georgios Iliopoulos. The Ambassador guided them through the embassy facilities, offering valuable information about the diplomatic relations between Greece and Austria, while the students had the opportunity to discuss matters concerning international relations and politics.
The following day, Thursday, March 27, the cadets visited the Austrian Military Academy, where they toured the facilities and were briefed on its history and operations. This visit provided a significant educational experience, as the cadets had the chance to engage with the military culture and education of Austria.
On Friday, March 28, 2025, the delegation visited the Austrian Military History Museum, where the students were informed about the key events and developments that shaped Austrian military history. The tour through the museum was particularly educational, as the students came into contact with exhibits that documented the history of the Austrian military through the centuries.
Finally, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, the delegation visited the Vienna Woods, where the cadets had the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the area and learn about the way of life in the Austrian countryside.
This educational trip provided the 4th-year cadets with a unique opportunity to broaden their horizons, develop their international perspective, and enhance their knowledge in various fields.
