The Hellenic Airforce Academy is the Military Higher Educational Institution of the Hellenic Airforce. Within the framework of its studies it transmits knowledge to its Cadets through teaching and research of Aviation Science and Technology as well as of the relevant theoretical and applied fields of Humanities and Science. It highlights Military Virtue and Military Training being essential requirements for Airforce Officers characterized by military and aviation consciousness since they have received the appropriate education concerning academic, social, cultural and politicalissues. All the aforementioned qualifications form the profile of a notable military leader with the required vocational and educational background.
Nowadays, the Hellenic Airforce Academy is an outstanding Training Organization where Academic Education and Military Training coexist harmoniously so as the Cadets receive all the appropriate qualifications to honour both the Hellenic Airforce and the Armed Forces of our country.
The graduates of the Hellenic Airforce Academy are Officers of the Hellenic Airforce with military and aviation consciousness who have received the appropriate education and vocational training. Moreover, in the Academy there are foreign Cadets coming from allied countries within the framework of international interstate agreements.
Addressing the foreign graduates, Ι would like to assure you that you are both an integral part of the Hellenic Airforce Academy and members of our extended international family. The time you spent in the Academy is a special period of your life affecting your career and future development. You have, undoubtedly, pleasant and difficult moments to remember which act as diachronic links with the Greek Officers since all of you have a common educational background based on the promotion and respect of the Aviation Spirit and on such principles as discipline, meritocracy and faith in the institutions and traditions.
Based on this vision, we advance into the future according to the motto of the Hellenic Airforce Academy, «Άμες δε γ’εσσόμεθα πολλώ κάρρονες», meaning “We will become much better than you”, pervades many aspects of our lives.
