Next-generation fighter cockpits will feature a Crew Monitoring System (CMS) designed to assess a pilot’s physiological, cognitive, and emotional state, enhancing both mission performance and safety. The CMS will integrate multiple physiological sensors and contextual parameters to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the crew’s functional state. It will detect conditions such as hypoxia, mental overload, and emotional shifts, including confusion or calmness.
As part of the Crew Monitoring innovation initiative (led by Dassault Aviation) within the EDF project EPIIC (Enhanced Pilot Interfaces & Interactions for fighter Cockpits), EmoDecide will contribute by developing real-time monitoring software capable of identifying the crew’s emotional state (ES) and enabling adaptive cockpit interfaces.
At EmoDecide, HAFA’s mission is clear: to revolutionize pilot performance by detecting and identifying a fighter pilot’s ES and understanding its impact on decision-making.
- Tested in realistic aeronauticalenvironments
- Tailored to operational tasks
- Real-time monitoring
What Does EmoDecide Deliver?
EmoDecide will develop an advanced software module to measure/monitor crews’ ES in real-time continuously. Using a combination of:
- Physiological signals
- Behavioral insights
- Contextual data
We offer aninnovative solution that will enhance situational awareness and optimize the decision-making of fighter pilots under pressure.
