The 58th Implementation Group (IG) Meeting was held at the Hellenic Air Force Academy, in Athens, on Wednesday, the 24th of May, 2023, under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).
The meeting aimed to increase interoperability and harmonize the EU military institutions’ Basic Officer academic and vocational education by delivering high quality and high quantity education to future officers.
Over a hundred participants met and worked at the auditorium “Lt Nikolaos Sialmas.”
In the beginning of the meeting, information was given on the educational activities of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) 2023-2024. Previous exchanges of Military Erasmus were mentioned, while the members of 58th IG Meeting discussed the IG Rules and Procedures. Then, an updating was given on the 7th Olympiad on the Common Security and Defence Policy and the upcoming European Military Academies Commanders’ Seminar (EUMACS 2024), that is about to happen in June of 2024.
In the evening of the same day, a “Greek Night” was provided to the members of the IG at the restaurant of the Hellenic Air Force Academy (HAFA), enjoying traditional greek flavors, accompanied by greek music by the orchestra of the Hellenic Air Force. The cadets and the military personnel of the HAFA were present, too.
