On July 10 of 2024, an MoU was signed between HAFA and THALES Hellas, with the aim of strengthening innovation and know-how in defense technology through joint collaborative initiatives, networking of research laboratories and structures, development and exploitation of know-how and good practices, promotion of a collaborative framework that will facilitate and foster research and innovation, cultivation of human resources, development of new tools and training methods, as well as through production and promotion of new products and high-tech services for the defense sector.
The ceremony was attended, on behalf of THALES Hellas, by the Country Director for Greece & Cyprus President/CEO of Thales Hellas, the Communication/HR & Finance Director, the Defense & Security Sales & Business Development Manager, the Legal & Contracts Director, the Bids & Projects Manager, and the Business Development Space and EU Programs Manager, while from HAFA, by the Commander, the Deputy Commander, the Air and Military Training Director, the Dean, the Professors who have been appointed representatives for the coordination of cooperation and the successful implementation of the MoU, as well as the Deputy Head of the Post-Graduate Studies and Research Department.
The MoU was signed by the Commander of HAFA, Lt. Gen. Grigorios Karampitianis, and the Country Director for Greece & Cyprus President/CEO of Thales Hellas, Mr. Patrick Defranoux.
