From 28 October to 1 November 2024, a delegation of the Hellenic Air Force Academy, consisting of 1 Officer and 2 fourth-year Cadets, participated in the 12th International Week of Military Academies, which was hosted at the Republic of Korea Air Force Academy (ROKAFA).
During the week, visits were made to Seoul, the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea, the 29th Fighter Wing of the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) where the Air Tactics Center with F-35, F-15, F-16, F-5, F/A-50 aircraft is located, as well as at the ROKAFA, where among others, a seminar/exchange of views on the training and military education system of students at the respective air academies of the participating countries was held. One day was dedicated in visiting assembly installations at Korean Aerospace Industry (KAI) and LIG Nex1.
Apart from Greece, delegations from 18 countries participated, namely France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Philippines, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Peru, United Kingdom, United States of America, Pakistan, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Peru.
